In 1979 Hotelware was founded in Leeds on Dewsbury Road supplying light catering equipment to the local area.

In 1980 Yorkshire Catering Equipment Company was founded. It started out in Leeds on Barkly Road in the old Co-Op building.

In 1996, the company purchased a second hand equipment company & moved to larger premises in Batley on Bradford Road.

The company Rebranded to YCE Catering Equipment and evolved into more of a projects-based business.

Google announces the launch of Gmail.

The Macbook Pro is launched by Apple.

Walton Group was launched by now Director Simon and he took over Cooltec Services, an air conditioning and refrigeration company in York.

The first iPhone is released by Apple.

In 2009 the YCE rebranded again to YCE Catering equipment Ltd

The original iPad is on sale from Apple.

Siri on Apple products is introduced.

In June 2013 the Walton Group took over HotelWare Supplies and moved it to York.

In 2013 Dane Walton Joined the company as a Sales Manager.

The first creation of human embryonic stem cells by cloning.

Apple pay is released.

The Apple smart watch is launched onto the market.

In 2016 YCE were finalists in a CEDA Grand Prix award for the work we did at Resorts world, Birmingham.

The Amazon Echo is released.

In 2018 Care-ware was launched to aid the care sector to achieve transparant purchasing and improved catering.

3D metal printing is now possible.
